Represent 2 Witness is a residential education and leadership program for API youth and other youth of color age 16-19. It is 15 days of study, dialogue, meditation, prayer, and site visits to communities struggling for economic and social justice. People of diverse backgrounds using an Asian-Pacific lens to look at CHANGE; using Christian theology to look at justice and love. Try it on.

Throughout the two weeks, participants engage in community study at the Pacific School of Religion and local Bay Area communities and reside in UC Berkeley residence halls.

Registration fee $150-$300 (sliding scale). We want to make the program accessible to working class youth and we don't want the registration fee to be a barrier, so ask your church or community to help with this. If that doesn't work, please let us know - the registration fee can be waived.

Admission includes a $2,000 scholarship to cover transportation to and from Berkeley, program expenses, room and board.

Lower-income and LGBTQ folks encouraged to apply!

“In R2W, I expressed a lot of feelings and emotions that I never openly talk about.
I didn't have to hide what I really had to say.”
- Eizen, R2W 2008

“I used to think that if I prayed hard enough, that things would happen. But in the R2W program, I realized that I can’t be sitting on my butt waiting for a miracle to happen. In addition to praying, how else can I help change the world?”
- Luse, R2W 2004

"Going to the community crawls, seeing all those houses boarded up, the way the kids live, made me think about our community. R2W is trying to help us become leaders in our community and I want to go back and be a strong leader, and help my community be a stronger, be one instead of fighting each other.”
- David, R2W 2008
